The competition, produced in partnership with The Stove Network and the Glasgow Institute of Architects invited architectural concepts for the Midsteeple Quarter of Dumfries High Street from professional individuals and practices. The competition set out to envisage an innovative new approach to town centre living and being in Dumfries.
The competition entries, from 15 practices across Scotland, were exhibited opening first in the Stove and then travelling to Glasgow’s Southblock for a further week. The People’s Choice was an open vote throughout the Dumfries exhibition.
