Brixton x Dumfries Live: Grime and Spoken Word

December 9, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Brixton Dumfries

Brixton x Dumfries
Join us this 9-10th December for the ultimate London to Scotland experience!
BrixtonxDumfries have teamed up with Moniaive Festival Village, the Holywood Trust, and Livity London to bring forth what we Traditionally Radical!

Be a part of history
Moniaive Festival Village has sent 4 young creatives from Scotland down to London to work with Livity, a production company, for work experience.
Part of this experience is to create an event, working together with 4 London interns, to amalgamate our very different cultures and to work together in making a unity between the two.
we saw this as an amazing opportunity to display Scotlands impressive emerging grime scene and our already established poetry reputation.

The not so SMALL print
Bring your own booze. We’ll cover the rest!

The BrixtonxDumfries Festival Team is made up of eight creatives from Dumfries, Galloway and London’s infamous Brixton.
Four of our team had the opportunity to visit Brixton as part of a Creative Exchange Program. Hosted at Livity London, a youth-led organisation which connects brands with young people, for four days. This exchange allowed us to connect with young creatives in and around the Brixton area to deliver a weekend of culture in Dumfries.
In attendance will be Brixton artist Peaky and Dumfries originated grime MC’s BFDB, alongisde spoken word.

This is a free event.
